Welcome to Paper Plane Digital. Before we take off, we need to agree on a few ground rules. By accessing this website, we assume you accept these terms in full. If you do not agree with all of the terms stated on this page, please do not use the Paper Plane Digital website.
Data collection
We don’t collect personal data unless you give it to us. If you sign up for my newsletter (Ship Better UX) or fill out a contact form, you are sharing:
- Your Name
- Your Email Address
Why do we need this?
- To send you the newsletter you asked for.
- To reply to your project inquiries.
- To send you the invoice if we work together.
What we don’t do: We never sell your data. We never trade it. I build digital products, I don't sell passenger lists.
Cookies
We keep our tracking light.
- Functional Cookies: These make the website work (e.g., remembering your language settings).
- Analytics: We may use privacy-friendly analytics (like Fathom or anonymized Google Analytics) just to see which pages are popular. We do not use aggressive tracking pixels that follow you around the internet.
Retention
Newsletter: We keep your email until you unsubscribe. There is an "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of every email. One click, and you’re gone from the list immediately.
Client Data: If we work together, we keep your project details and contact info for administrative purposes (and Dutch tax laws) for up to 7 years. If we don't work together, I’ll clean up my inbox and delete your info within 12 months.
Security
Paper Plane Digital is responsible for the safety of your data.
- I (Tommy) am the only one with access to the client database.
- My devices use encryption and strong passwords.
- I only use trusted tools (like Webflow, Figma, Email Providers) that are GDPR compliant.
Your rights
Under the GDPR (AVG), you remain in control of your data. You have the right to:View: Ask me exactly what data I have on you.Correct: Ask me to fix a typo in your name or email.Delete: Ask me to erase you from my systems entirely ("Right to be forgotten").How to do this? Send an email to tommy@paperplane.digital. I will ask for proof of identity (to make sure I’m not sending your data to a stranger) and I will handle your request within 1 week.
Complaints
Not happy with how I handled your data? Please tell me first so I can fix it. If we can’t work it out, you have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
